Most people have very busy and often hectic mornings due to work and other commitments, and much of the time they start way too early. If you are always feeling rushed during your morning routine or are prone to forgetting things while you’re starting your day, try prepping some things the night before so that you don’t have to worry about them in the morning. Here are 4 things you can do the night before to help make your mornings easier!
Lay Out Clothes
For many people, choosing what to wear each day can be a struggle. If you have trouble deciding what to wear sometimes, add those extra minutes to your morning routine by choosing your outfit for the following day and laying it out somewhere the night before. This way, when you wake up you can just put on a shirt and pants without thinking about it, and you’re ready for the day.
Shower
Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to shower every single morning during the workweek. In fact, it actually makes more sense to shower or bathe in the evening when you get home from work, to wash the day’s filth off of you. And if you shower and then go right to bed, you won’t be getting particularly dirty overnight so it’s totally unnecessary to shower again in the morning. Try this change to your routine and see how much time it adds to your mornings.
Prep Your Lunch
Prepping your lunch the night before is a great way to make your life easier in the morning. Cook whatever you need to and then put it into a Tupperware container, pop it in the fridge, and voila. That way you can just grab it on your way out the door in the morning and not have to worry about getting up extra early to cook or prepare something.
Set Your Coffee Pot
If you like to have a cup of coffee in the morning before you leave your house, you know that it takes a couple of extra minutes to brew. Set your coffee pot the night before and fill it so that it will automatically start to brew at a certain time each morning. Boom, one more thing off your checklist of things to do in the morning. You can even set it so that your cup of coffee is ready right when you wake up, so that you won’t have to do anything at all before taking a sip.
Taking some parts of your morning routine and instead adding them into your evenings can really help to save you a lot of time as well as stress. You may even be able to sleep in a little bit later, and everyone can benefit from a good night’s sleep. Try these tips out to see if they work for you!
